If you are interested in having me come to your home town for a training, ask me about becoming a host. You could get your training for free! Current Schedule:
Cost for both trainings are $275, including your training manual, a $50 value. Please contact me to see where to send in your registration fee. I do offer a discount for OSD volunteers.
Times:
Friday and Saturday, 8:30am til 5:30pm. The Labor Doula workshop is one step towards labor doula certification with CAPPA. It's also a great refresher class if you've been certified as a doula for some time, or if you certified with another organization.
This workshop will cover a Doula's role: Positions for Labor - Induction and
Augmentation - Philosophy and Standards of Care - How to support Normal
birth in a culture that doesn't believe in it - Difficult births and
unexpected outcomes - Professional Image - Marketing - and much much more.
Smaller workshops also are a great way to network with other doulas. Time
will be set aside for questions and discussions, and there will be many
opportunities to bond with other doulas-in-training. Be there expecting to
learn and have a great time.
There are required readings and suggested readings to be completed according
to your schedule but prior to certification.
