Internet Interview

tamaradoula.jpg (151964 bytes) Try to image a doula as a reference book that walks with you, talks with you, and can actually provide the massage!

Doulas are not medical personnel. They do not give medical diagnoses or advice.

A doula does not speak for the couple or make decisions for the couple; nor does the doula project their values/beliefs on the couple.

There is no such thing as "the one doula for everyone", there is a doula that is a perfect match for you.   So take the time to interview several doulas and find the one that you feel the most comfortable with; someone you can lean on and trust.

My services include:

Antepartum Doula
Antepartum Doulas offer emotional support and light household duties for a pregnant woman who is experiencing a difficult pregnancy (i.e. bed rest).
Birth Doula
Birth or Labor Doulas offer physical, emotional and informational support to women/couples during labor and delivery.   They also offer informational and emotional support in pregnancy.  I am a Doula Trainer through CAPPA.  If you are interested in becoming a doula, click here.
Postpartum Doula
Postpartum Doulas help care for a new mother and her family in the first couple of months with emotional and informational support; as well as, light house keeping.
Pre/Postnatal Exercise Instructor
I can offer consultations in setting up exercise regimes.  Sorry, I do not offer private or group personal training at this time.
