What is an antepartum doula? An Antepartum Doula provides services to "pregnant women who are classified high risk, who may or may not be on bedrest, or pregnant women with medical conditions necessitating the need for help...This assistance includes education, physical support such as bed rest assistance, sibling care, errands, meal preparation, home care, and emotional support. The Antepartum doula does not perform any clinical care. This role is strictly non-medical." (CAPPA) |

Birth Plan Class Also listed under Birth Doula services. This is a two and half hour session on options for childbirth, pros and cons for each option, how to write a birth plan, and how to work with your care provider and hospital staff concerning your birth plan. Materials provided are included in the fee.

Comfort Measures Class This is a two and half hour class that focuses in on comfort measures for labor and delivery. This is an excellent refresher course for second or third time parents. Materials provided are included in the fee.

Private Full-length Childbirth Education Class A twelve hour series, generally split into four classes, in the privacy of your own home. If you have several friends that are also expecting you can all get together and have me come to one person's home. Benefits to this class include personal attention, classes taught to your unique pregnancy, information on all your options, and breastfeeding and newborn care basics. I do charge an additional mileage fee if I am traveling over 15 miles.
